Post by Curtis »

We are excited to share our call for submissions for the "Re-generating Worlds: Turning to Questions of Ontology"stream at the upcoming International Conference in Management Studies (ICMS 2025).

Are you engaging with the Ontological Turn in Organization Studies or Critical Management Studies?

Join us at Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), 18th–20th June 2025, as we explore the critical potential of ontological questions to inspire new ways of thinking and organizing. We welcome both empirical and theoretical contributions on topics such as:

• The intersections of ontology and politics in and around organizations
• The role of more-than-human and non-human agents in organizational life
• Insights into Indigenous ontologies and alternative forms of organizing
• Analyses of technology, posthuman futures, and organizational dynamics
• Perspectives from feminist, decolonial, and ecological ontologies
• Multi-species and interspecies ethics and practices in organizations
• The ontological consequences of ecological concerns

Convenor Team: Stephanie Daher, James Scott Vandeventer, Rowland Curtis, and Damian O'Doherty

Submission deadline: 31st January 2025
Conference dates: 18th–20th June 2025

Let’s push the boundaries of what it means to organize in a world of complexity, multiplicity, and interconnection.
